Traveling with your CPAP
You suffer from sleep apnea. You have gotten used to using a CPAP machine at night to help you with this condition. But what do you do when you need to travel somewhere? You have a few options:
- Take your CPAP machine with you. There is no reason that you can’t take most CPAP machines with you wherever you are traveling. These machines are small and portable. Pack it up safely so it doesn’t break and make sure to bring supplies to clean it.
- Get a travel CPAP. There are smaller transportable CPAP machines for sale for people who want a machine designed just for travel. If you travel often then getting a second machine for travel could be a smart decision.
- Try a CPAP mask. You might be able to use a different type of CPAP mask instead of your big machine. This could be a good solution for traveling. Ask your doctor about this option to find out what might work best for you.
Traveling with your CPAP for the first time can be a little bit intimidating. It’s really easy though so don’t stress out about it too much. If anything goes wrong then just call your doctor to find out what to do.
