San Diego hotels are a sweet sight
I live in the small suburb of Little River, TN, just about a half hour south of Knoxville. As you may imagine by the name, we are virtually surrounded by the flowing water of Little River itself. Last spring as the rains came my home was one of many that ended up being flooded and heavily damaged.
Fortunately for me, when I purchased my home a few years ago, I also got some great insurance coverage which has completely paid for my accomodations in the MainStay Suites hotel in Alcoa, just 10 minutes down the road from my home.
After nearly 3 1/2 months, of staying at the MainStay, I was able to attend a conference in Southern California, for a full week. Deciding that beautiful spring weather in San Diego was well worth the expense, I decided to check out San Diego hotels that could also accommodate me for the weekend before and the weekend after my conference.
Not only was I able to get a fantastic hotel deal, I also found some great websites that provided me with all of the advance planning I would need to take advantage of my extra time in San Diego.
And I’m not ashamed to say that I was finally able to return to Sea World after not having been there in over 25 years. That was a great trip!

Hows your house now? I’m glad that, even after that disaster, things went up for you and you were able to enjoy a mini-vacation!
How was Sea World?
With a little bit of patience, it’s so easy to find good hotel deals online now. Great job finding those deals!
Oh, thank goodness for insurance and you were able to afford that extended hotel stay.
Glad you enjoyed yourself in San Diego!
Oh, I haven’t been to Sea World in so long! I’m down in San Diego several times a year for conferences. Maybe I’ll do that next time, extend my stay there and explore San Diego again.
What a convenient location the Mainstay hotel has! At least you didn’t have to suffer when they had to fix your place. Yay!
A similar thing happened to me and my family and I’m just so glad there are extended stay hotels available. They provided a temporary home for us at good prices.
Where did you stay in San Diego? I’m also planning on going there. But I’m still looking for good hotel deals.
