Helping my Child out of a Bind
I always thought that my responsibility as a parent would end at the time that my kids moved out of the house, but I guess I was severely mistaken. I thought that marriage was a big commitment (yes, I have commitment issues), but no one mentions the commitment that you are making when you have kids.
Needless to say, there have been a number of moments where I have had to help my kids out when they were younger, but as for their adult years, I haven’t really had to do much. Sure, they come to me for advice, but there really hasn’t been much helping out to do.
I thought that it was going to be like this for the rest of my life, until my son phoned me from jail - he was in a bit of trouble. I rushed down there to see what I could do - it turned out that we needed to pay a bail bond for him to leave that night.
Since I didn’t have the sum of money that they were requesting, I went online and did a quick search for bail bonds and Los Angeles. Thankfully I was able to find a firm that would help us to post bail without having such a large financial commitment.
I just hope that his court date goes well - I would hate to have to visit him in jail.
