Choosing Tactical Equipment
Whether you are buying tactical equipment to play airsoft MilSim or for real security or combat missions, there are some things you should consider before making a purchase.
- Make sure everything is comfortable. If you are buying tactical headsets, you don’t want them to be so uncomfortable that no one wants to wear them. Listen only earpieces also have to be comfortable, as they could be on your ear for a very long period of time.
- Make sure everything is reliable. Whether you are using 2 way radios or something more technologically advanced, you want to make sure you can count on it — otherwise you might as well have nothing but signal fires or tin can telephones!
- Safety first! Remember, whether you are playing airsoft or doing something more dangerous, it is important to play by the same safety rules as you would in either case.
Choosing equipment isn’t necessarily easy, but if you remember these things it at least will be easier! Remember, you are depending on this equipment, and you will need to wear it for long stretches at a time, so make your decisions accordingly!
