Wake Up Call
I own a roofing company in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. My wife does the advertising and takes care of all of the office type stuff including accounting and appointment setting. I do all of the bids and take care of most of the supervision of the jobs. I don’t want it to become a big impersonal company, so I keep it pretty hands on.
I was supervising a job last week and was up on the roof and was correcting an issue on a gable. I turned around, took a step and I fell off of the roof! I landed in a bush, dusted myself off and checked for damage. Miraculously I didn’t have even a scratch. But if I would have landed a few feet to the left I would have probably been hurt badly because I would have landed on the sidewalk. It was a wake up call because I have been living without health insurance.
So my wife and I contacted a Ft. Lauderdale Health insurance company to get that ball rolling. I was afraid that getting FL health insurance would be very difficult because of my self employed status. But the Ft. Lauderdale health insurance company that I went through actually made it pretty easy. Really, this is something we should have done a long time ago.
