More Coffee Please
Tired and need more coffee? With a Starbucks on every other corner and local coffee shops popping up, those in need of caffeine don’t have to look very hard. Enjoying a good cup of coffee seems to be a national pastime. Pictures of celebrities posed with their cups of coffee are on the internet and in magazines. Soccer moms and professionals alike enjoy their morning cup of coffee.
What happens when your morning caffeine jolt doesn’t relieve the feelings of tiredness, fatigue and exhaustion? Needing too much caffeine to get your day going might be a sign of a sleep disorder. Even after a good night’s sleep, feeling overtired or irritable are symptoms of sleep apnea.
Treatment with CPAP equipment is a solution to a sleeping disorder. CPAP machines offer a continuous positive airway pressure and are used to treat obstructive sleep apnea. Sleep apnea occurs when the back of the throat relaxes or closes during sleep leading to the airway collapse and the lack of air flow. Bipap machines offer bi-level positive airway pressure for breathing during sleep and help with conditions unsuccessfully managed by CPAP machines. Utilizing this type of equipment should help relieve the affects of sleeplessness and keep the need for coffee to a morning pick me up not a way to stay awake during the day.

How common a problem is sleep apnea? I would think a lot of people who suffer from it don’t even consider it as a cause of their problems…
