An Unusual Occurrence At The Range
Sunday, I get up, shower, eat breakfast, and put on my camouflage gear. I then grab my echo1 airsoft gun and head out of the door. After driving about a half hour to the paintball field, I go to the window and pay for my session and my paint. I wait on my buddies to show up and as is usually the case, they show up about 20 minutes late.
After they pay for their session and paint, we are ready to play some paintball. We look like a bunch of commandos with out airsoft guns and outfits. We spread out and take our different positions, ready to take on the enemy and “light ‘em up.”
I decide to finally move out from my position to try and find some of my buddies. I get about 15 to 20 steps and then, whap, I’m hit with a blue paint ball. Crap! I’m out already! So, I head back to the shed to wait until the next round. One by one, my buddies start heading back. Finally, all of us are back except for our buddy John. Suddenly, here comes John in all shot up as well. Of course, we all look at John confused as he is shot up with the same blue paint as we are. Upon further examination, his paint is red.
We soon discover that someone had came ahead of time with a sniper rifle made by tokyo murui and decided to be cute and shoot everyone that decided to play at the paintball range. We finally had to get management to go out and kick the guy out. Afterwards, my buddies and I went back out to play another round.
I wish I could say I won the game, but sadly, I was first out again. This time it was with red paint.

Seems like there is always someone who wants to spoil it for the rest of us. How could the range not have known there was someone else out there shooting everyone? I guess you could say you didn’t really lose because everyone else did to…
I have a Tokyo Murui and have wanted to do a little sniping myself. It is very easy to get caught up in the game and if you run out of opponents you just have to look for more. Skill is everything.
That is totally uncool and not very safe. What is wrong with people anyway? Airsoft guns are a great way to get a little male bonding time in away from the rest of the world. I hope those guys were busted and banned for good. That’s just nuts.
It’s these type of things that give this sport a bad name. This is a really fun and safe way to blow off steam on the weekends, but if you get these kind of people ruining it, the fun is gone. I agree with the comment above; hope those clowns were banned for life from the facility.
Sounds like you and your buddies need to get a hunting party together if it ever happens again. What fun tht would be, you and four or five other guys pelting the would-be assassin with multiple shots and covering him with paint. I love the sport.
