Mom Always Used Tanning Lotion
I love the smell of Tanning Lotion, especially Dark Tanning Lotion. My mom always used to use it out at the pool when she would take me out to the recreation center by our house to take me swimming and go play with me. She died several years ago of cancer so it has been a rough time without her. I look at my kids and wish so much that they were going to grow up knowing their grandma. I think it is so important to keep the links between generations alive and strong for as long as possible.
Since mom is gone now, I try to tell the kids stories about her as much as I can. I have a lot of pictures of her, and pictures of her with the kids too when they were babies, which his good. They remember her and all, they just will not get to know her as they grow up which I think is a shame. Cancer can be such an ugly thing. Yet those tanning lotions always remind me of the good days, and while it is a bittersweet feeling, I am glad it invokes such strong memories. The kids say it reminds them of her too.
