My Sweetie is Going to Boot Camp
My husband came home from work yesterday and informs me that he will be going to boot camp. My first impression was that he was going to send himself off to one of those fat camps. I mean not to be hypocritical, but he could stand to lose a few pounds! Anyway my assumption was not correct and that is not the boot camp he is going to. Instead, he is going to CISSP boot camp.
You see, he is an information technology professional, and as such he has obtained all kinds of certifications. He has mentioned the CISSP certification several times, and apparently it is the big dog of the certifications that these guys can get. So it is off to boot camp for him so he can get taught how to pass the CISSP exam.
I know he is very happy where he works. However, neither of us thinks that there is any more room for advancement there. He has hit that proverbial glass ceiling that people often refer to. With this certification he can start to look at other bigger companies. It would also mean a significant pay increase, which is nothing either of us could complain about. So go for it honey; go off to boot camp!
