Learning to Teach What I Do
I’ve been working as a web writer and blogger since before most people knew what a blog was. I have a lot of experience in this line of work and have explored all of the different areas of it. I think that this might make me qualified to teach classes to other people who want to learn how to write for the web. It seems like a good new direction for my business. More importantly, it seems like something which will challenge me which is always a good thing I think.
There’s a lot to learn in order to be able to teach others. I don’t have to learn anything new about the business since I already know it inside and out. What I do need to learn is what the best methods are of teaching people what I know. I think that a hands-on approach is going to be best. I want my students to practice what I’m teaching them as I go through it. Because of this, I’m looking into laptop rental and projector rentals so that I can present the course on the big screen and then have each student work on tasks on their laptops. I have to put a lot in place in order to move forward with this but I think it’s going to be a really good thing.
