Help Writing an Essay
Well, it’s my favorite time of the year. The time of the semester that I look forward to almost as eagerly as Christmas time. Can you detect the sarcasm? That’s right: it’s essay time. Every semester, I always end up with a huge essay assignment in at least one of my classes. But that’s just part of attending psychology degree school I guess. It sometimes makes me regret deciding to pursue a counseling psychology degree.
Anyway, I have to write a 15 page paper analyzing Freud’s theories. 15 pages! The longest essay I’ve ever written was 10 pages, and I was barely able to do that. 15 seems almost impossible. Why not just have me write a book while I’m at it?
I guess my first step is to go to the local library. I hope all the books on Freud aren’t checked out already. If not, I’ll spend a few hours there reading through some books, writing notes, making copies, and outlining my essay.
Once I do that, I’ll start to write the actual essay. It’s going to be a challenge for me to fill 15 pages without it sounding like a bunch of filler content. It needs to be tight, focused, and long. We’ll see if I can pull it off.
