Knowing which truck bed liner is right
A good pal of mine recently asked me what I knew about how to buy a tono cover for his pick up truck. It had been a number of years since I’ve spent any money on my own vehicles, so I really had no answer for him.
Of course, ever since that conversation, I have started assessing my own truck and have decided it could use a bit of an update. The first thing that jumps right out at you when you peer at it is the fact the truck bed liner is in dire need of updating.
After having decided to purchase a new one, I realized there was a lot I needed to learn in order to get the right one for my specific model. As I discovered, the manufacturers really make it quite easy to figure this all out.
Once you have the model you’re purchasing for locked in, it simply comes down to identifying specific features your vehicle might have, like step side or regular bed, etc.
Most liners come in black, however there are some custom color options should you decide that black is less than perfect for your vehicle.
Finally, most companies make the ordering simple, and installation is almost always included, so really, nothing could be easier.

Bedliners are a must! Shopping and comparing prices online is helpful. Most sites will list the liner and what year/model/make it fits on.
I have a tonneau cover for my truck. It’s great! I bought the truck used and it came with. At first I thought I wouldn’t even use it because it would be a pain…but since I got it anyway I kept it on the truck. I’m really happy I have it now.
I get a lot of satisfaction with updating older trucks. I started when I was just a kid. Now, I buy older trucks, fix them up with accessories and then sell again. It is a rewarding job.
Go online and compare some prices for bed liners. Don’t be afraid to spend a bit more for quality. And, installation is really very easy if you have it shipped to yourself.
Think of it this way, you replaced the bed cover not the bed! That is why bed covers are such a great investment. They save the truck bed so that it doesn’t end up looking like this. They are a great purchase for any truck - especially if you use your truck for heavy things for work.
